The William Macy Stanton Collection documents architectural works designed by Stanton between 1925 and 1936. Of the 28 buildings and projects represented in the collection, the majority were multi-storied hotel or apartment buildings located in Atlantic City, New Jersey, such as The Lafayette and James Madison Hotels. In addition, drawings in the collection document Stanton's work at Cumberland Homesteads, a New Deal housing project for miners under the auspices of the Tennessee Valley Authority. The collection contains no records of his extensive work in the restoration of Quaker Meeting houses. No office files, photographs, or personal documents are found in the collection at the Architectural Archives.
