The collection comprises 20 sheets of architectural drawings documenting two houses for John C. Gilpin designed by the firm of Thomas, Martin & Kirkpatrick and their successors Thomas & Martin. The earlier of the two houses was designed in 1927 for a site in Northeast Harbor, Maine. The second project proposed an addition to a farmhouse in Sanatoga, Pennsylvania, designed in 1933. There are survey maps for a farm property in Limerick, PA (probably the same as the Sanatoga Farmhouse) dated 1946-47 that show buildings and crop types. However, there is no indication what these survey drawings were intended for.
