The David Guise collection comprises teaching and research files and an extensive collection of teaching slides, all focused on architectural design and construction technology. The files contain clippings, brochures, photographs and working drawings. The slides (many photographed by Guise during construction) document structural features of some of the best known buildings of the 20th century. The collection also contains a copy of the revised edition of Guise's Design and Technology in Architecture and an unpublished manuscript by August Komendant, "Philosophy of Technology for Architecture and Engineering". The collection contains only a small amount of material related to architectural design projects of David Guise.
