Focus: national. Consists of: architectural drawings, both individual drawings and complete archives; documents/correspondence; building fragments; vintage photographs. Strengths: Thomas U. Walter, including drawings for U. S. Capitol, John Notman, Theophilus P. Chandler, Addison Hutton, Benjamin Linfoot, Mellor, Meigs & Howe, Paul P. Cret, Horace Trumbauer, Louis Magaziner.

Library Holdings

Holdings: the bound book collection consists of 98,000 volumes primarily relating to 19th century social and cultural history, with emphasis on architecture building technology, interior design, and travel/exploration/internal improvements. The primary focus is North American architecture prior to 1950.
