Collections

Focus: local, national, international. Consists of: MIT student drawings (1873-1968), MIT campus materials (1864-present), Study Collection Drawings (1840-1930s), program books (1905-1961), working drawings (20th century), models, slides, photographs (1870s-present), ephemera. Strengths: collection documents the history of America's first architecture program, architectural education, changes in American society and building types; working drawings for The Architects Collaborative, 1946-1995. Accessible through inventories, except for TAC archive. Some drawings can be reproduced. Institution does not have a conservation laboratory.

Holdings at MIT's nearby Rotch Architectural Library complement the Museum's collection.
