Collections

Focus: international. Consists of: architectural drawings, documents/correspondence; models; photographs. Strengths: drawings by Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis Kahn, Theo Van Doesburg, James Stirling, Mario Botta, and Philip Johnson; the archive (drawings and correspondence) of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Drawings cannot be reproduced. Institution has a conservation laboratory.

Library Holdings

Holdings: the museum's library contains approximately 100,000 catalogued items and has subscriptions to 350 modern art periodicals. The library also has audiotapes, audiodiscs, videotapes and microfilms.

Exhibitions

Institution organizes exhibitions. Permanent exhibition: the collection is on view, with aspects of it presented in small, concentrated exhibitions on a rotating basis. Exhibitions travel.
